Web Design

I have worked for over five years as a web designer and am the head of I Resign Design, a small web design firm specialising in small business websites.

I am currently designing a new website for the Timber Development Association and am maintaining an online project submission facility for a design competition. I am also working on a volunteer basis as web administrator for the Australian Institute of International Affairs. The following slideshow presents a selection of my work.

An large website for a multi-branch association. Components used include DOCman, RSEvents, Frontpage Slideshow, Ninja RSS Syndicator and PictoBrowser. Integrated with MailChimp, FormSite and PayPal.

The site contains an architectural project submission facility based on the K2 CCK. Lytebox and Frontpage Slideshow are used in the public galleries. PHPList is used for subscriptions.

An extensive Joomla! and Moodle site based on a free template.

This site provide online courses, a contacts directory (using SOBI) and a timber species guide (using a component of my own design). I will shortly be moving the site onto a tableless Joomla! template.

I studied computer science within my undergraduate degree. I have since gained several professional qualifications and am a Sun Certified Java Programmer for the Java 2 Platform (SE 5.0). I am currently studying for the Zend PHP 5 Certification Exam.

My skill set includes Affinity, C/C++, ColdFusion, CSS, DHTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, Illustrator, Java, JavaScript, Joomla!, Moodle, MySQL, Photoshop, PHP, R, S+, SAS, SQL, Squarespace, UNIX, WordPress, XHTML, and XML.

I am particularly interested in high level languages like Java. I very much like working with Joomla! and I have a strong interest in developing online educational resources using systems such as Moodle.
